The Eric Ambler Centenary

This month is of course the centenary of the thriller writer Eric Ambler. Penguin are marking it with the publication of some of hios best books with introductions by writers such as James Fenton and Norman Stone. Ambler, of course, is one of the writers who has inspired this group. He was one of the creators of the British tradition of spy fiction - and it is great to see him getting the attention he dererves.
